If you look back on last season, what would be your summary of it?
It was up and down. When we entered the ice we had higher expectations than losing in the quarterfinals. We had a tough start of the season with five losses and some maybe half panicked. We never got the continuity to win three or four games in a row. So it was a fight all season to win the games.
For me I had problems with an injury. After a month of rehab we realized it was the wrong decision too make. A surgery was unavoidable. I started out slow but got better and then the injury came. It was a strange season for me. When I came back from the injury I played the last few games and then got suspended in the last game. A very different season.
What are you doing in the off-season?
Most of us didn't take a lot of vacation. Instead we kept on training. We have had a few week long camps with the team.
How would you compare European Trophy to other club tournaments you’ve played?
The level of play is higher as the teams are stronger. We also play more high quality games. In other tournaments there might be only three or four games. At the same time it can be intensive weekends with several games but I still think it is a tournament that give us a lot in our preparations for the season.
Who will be your strongest rival for winning your division?
Oh, I really don't know that much about the teams. But the advantage of European Trophy is that you know that all teams are good and hard to beat.
What will be your goal for the upcoming season?
For me I feel I have a lot to show because I was injured last season. I want to participate more the upcoming season. For the team it is hard to say as it is so soon. Personally I feel it is difficult to talk about goals now. Of course winning is always the aim, but the objectives will be set later on and might change during the course of the season.
