The European Trophy 2011 gets off to a flying start on August 11th with several great games in the opening round.

The reigning champions Eisbären Berlin start their title defense in Sweden against Frölunda. There’s also a game between two national champions, when Färjestads BK and EC Red Bull Salzburg squares off.
